Jawali Deputy Superintendent of Police Gyan Chand Thakur stated that two of the seven youths who have been bathing in Pong Dam died as a result of drowning.

Two youngsters drowned whereas taking a shower with a gaggle of youth in Pong Dam lake in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district on Saturday, police stated. Jawali Deputy Superintendent of Police Gyan Chand Thakur stated that two of the seven youths who have been bathing in Pong Dam died as a result of drowning.
He stated, “All these youths had come to go to Pong Dam from Gunari in Una district and went to take a shower in Pong Dam within the night on Saturday.” Amongst them, two youths recognized as Rahul (19) and Deepak (19) drowned with each of them reported to be from Pirthipur village of Una district, the DSP added.
