France’s knowledge privateness watchdog CNIL mentioned on Tuesday that it has opened a preliminary investigation into Chinese language-owned video-sharing app TikTok after it obtained a criticism.

“A criticism about TikTok was obtained in Might. This criticism is now underneath investigation,” a CNIL spokesman mentioned, confirming a Bloomberg report.
