Shiksha, a Haryana-based wushu participant, will obtain Rs 5 lakh from Sports activities Minister Kiren Rijiju.

Sports activities Minister Kiren Rijiju on Thursday sanctioned Rs 5 lakh for Shiksha, a Haryana-based wushu participant, who was compelled to work as a farm labourer as a consequence of extreme monetary misery in instances COVID-19 pandemic. In line with a launch issued by the sports activities ministry, the 22-year-old athlete, who has received 24 gold medals on the state Wushu Championship, was sanctioned the cash via the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Nationwide Welfare Fund for Sportspersons.
Shiksha, who can be pursuing her BSc in sports activities science mentioned she is grateful to the Sports activities Minister for his intervention. “I haven’t got phrases to thank the Sports activities Minister for his noble gesture and sending throughout Rs 5 lakh at a time like this,” she mentioned.
“I’m completely decided to get again to my coaching on the earliest and it is so good to see such a proactive minister who cares for the athletes. I promise everybody that inside a 12 months, I’ll win a gold medal for the nation.”
